Sunflower eLibrary has both audio and e-books

You will need to know your Herington Public Library card number.

HPL card number: ex 9999

AND your pin number (patron last name in all lower case): ex smith

The first time you go to the site, there is a box in the middle of the page called MEET LIBBY. Click on “Learn More Here.” This will show you the process.

State of Kansas eCard:

State of Kansas Library has several different apps.

You will need a State of Kansas Library card number (available at HPL).

KSL Number: ex 999999

AND password (your birthday mm/dd/yyyy): ex 01/01/2020.

Click on DIGITAL BOOK eLENDING. There you will see several different apps for either eAudiobooks or eBooks. Each one is a little different and has instructions for use. When you click on the instructions, you will learn if the app is compatible with your device.

On-Line Catalog Instructions:

Using Herington Public Library’s On-Line Card Catalog

Visit the Herington Public Library and get a library number from the staff

After you have received your number, visit the library’s webpage, http://herington.lib.nckls.org/ click on the card catalog on the left side of the page.

These steps are written out of a computer but it can be done on a phone or tablet. Where you click is just in different places.

LOG IN: this is in the upper right-hand corner.

USERNAME: Your library account # _______ (The staff can tell you your number if you don’t know it.)

PASSWORD: Type USERPASS the first time you log on. Then create the password you want.

HOW TO SEARCH: You can search the card catalog from this page by typing in a title, author, subject, etc at the top of the page (you can click on the arrows to change from title, author, subject, etc.) The page will be displayed showing if it is available or not. DVDs: change the heading to all headings and type in DVD to see all the DVDs we have.

TO RESERVE: Click on request this item (the hand below the picture), a new screen will appear, click on Place Hold (bottom right hand side of page). Call the library (785-258-2011) to let them know you have some items reserved on your account.

Click on My Account: On this page will displayed items out, items on reserve, items lost, items on ILL, history of items checked out and any fines accrued.

To return to card catalog, select the house icon.

Be sure to log out when finished.
