Library Events

We’ve been having fun with “It’s Time to Rhyme” during Fall Story Time at the library. We met a bearded dragon! Youngsters meet at 9 a.m. each Thursday in the basement. Story Times continue through Oct. 29. That final session will be the annual Halloween Walk.

The library will host activities for children, teens and adults during the Fall Festival on Saturday, Oct. 24, with crafts, games and stories offered from 2 until 3:30 p.m. It’s all free and fun!

The children’s librarian visits area schools, childcare centers, or will meet with home school groups, 4-H’ers or groups of any age. Make arrangements by calling the library at 785-258-2011.

A special playback unit allows for books to be listened to. Items are sent to qualified readers by the U.S. Postal System. There is no charge for use.

The Herington Public Library has a special display so anyone can see the playback unit and tape.
